About Us

Michele Cobin Friedlander has been a practicing attorney since 1996.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1993, and her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 1996.

After passing the bar, she began her career working for a sole practitioner in the Santa Clarita Valley, focusing on family law, personal injury and business litigation.  From there, she has practiced in some of the most prestigious firms in Los Angeles, including La Follette, Johnson, De Haas, Fesler & Ames, where she practiced medical malpractice defense for five years, defending doctors and hospitals from lawsuits for medical negligence and elder abuse.  She has practiced aviation litigation at Dwyer, Daly, Brotzen & Bruno, general liability defense at Carlson, Calladine & Peterson, medical malpractice at Cotkin, Collins & Ginsburg, and patent litigation at Park Law Firm.

In addition, Michele has long served her community through law practice, acting as a brief grader for the Jessup National Moot Court Competition for eight years, a judge for the Constitutional Rights Foundation Mock Trial Program for three years, a volunteer attorney at AIDS Project Los Angeles, the HIV and AIDS Legal Service Alliance, and Bet Tzedek Legal Services.  She currently serves on the pro bono panel of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project, assisting low-income individuals to prepare petitions and declarations for restraining orders against their abusers.

Michele is a mom to two little boys, and a life-long resident of the San Fernando Valley and the Greater Los Angeles area.
